How is this thread "ill-timed", "poorly thought out" or "bear baiting"? When would you have us discuss the fact that 2,000 U.S. soldiers are dead? When the number hits 3,000?

For one...EVERY single soldier I've met and talked to...is behind their Commander and Chief...odd?

I've talked to a few soldiers, too. I've also read a lot of soldiers' blogs. And many of them would disagree with the above statement.

My Scan Results

as many of you will know, yesterday i received my scan results from the haematologist.

when i entered his office he was beaming and so i thought the news would be good.

the chemotherapy has shrunk the cancerous lymph nodes in my stomach substantially!!

Tell me about your favorite family restaurants.

my wife and i went out for breakfast this morning, as we usually like to do.. however, today we were in the mood for ham with our breakfast, so we hit our "ham" breakfast restaurant.

we have different restaurants we frequent depending on what we feel in the mood for eating.

this little restaurant is in a small town next to ours, on a side street, and if you didn't live in this town, you probably would never find it.

I love the mom and pop places, where the extended family waits tables and cooks, etc. There's a little hole-in-the-wall Mexican place like this in my neighborhood that everyone calls Lorena's, because she's the owner. I don't even know the real name of the restaurant. We like to call it Slowrena's because it takes so long to get your food, but it's worth it. Fresh guacamole, homemade salsa (best in Dallas imo), roasted potatoes and refried beans with your breakfast and nobody speaks English, except the customers and Lorena (a little bit).

She always pulls me aside to give me dubious advice on parenting. The last time I was there, she asked me if I had a boyfriend and told me that if I did, I should be careful not to leave my daughter alone with him now that she's wearing makeup. I told her I'd keep that in mind if there's ever a man around. LOL

however, this was a telephone poll of victims ... i guess if you've been shot you wouldn't have answered the phone .

From a true American patriot

people have made claims that i am anti-american for expressing dissatisfaction about american foreign policy or dismay at the ills of american socity.. to be honest, i do not think i am anti-american.

i think i am more pro american than many of the people in the country who like to wave flags and buy t-shirts but who seem happy to turn a blind eye when things are not right and happy to see it's ideals sold to the highest bidder.

imo the true patriots are those who are willing to stand up and take the flak for saying "this isn't good enough, we demand better".

Oh, c'mon. We all know who the true American patriots are. They're the ones driving the SUVs with the Bush/Cheney bumper stickers and the yellow "Support the troops" ribbons. Can you taste the irony?

ALMOST LIKE BEING MARRIED

for the last four or five weeks i have been locked in a relationship with a person that i used to think was so very sexy, but now after

spending all day every day with this person i want a very fast moving bus to come thru our parking lot at lunch time..get my drift?

actually i am locked in a training room for a six week period with a very beautiful girl that is one of my friends.
